Salisbury University (SU) is a premier comprehensive Maryland public university, offering excellent, affordable education in undergraduate liberal arts, sciences, pre-professional and professional programs, including education, nursing, social work, and business, and a limited number of applied graduate programs. Our highest purpose is to empower our students with the knowledge, skills, and core values that contribute to active citizenship, gainful employment, and lifelong learning in a democratic society and interdependent world.
SU offers its bachelor of arts in social work and master of social work programs at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH). These regional programs are hybrid, meaning they use the latest technology, including face-to-face classroom instruction, fully interactive live video and online instruction from SU’s full-time faculty. This unique program allows students to complete all components of the degree in Hagerstown. The programs are designed with the working student in mind with courses scheduled in the evening and during the summer term.
All of SU’s undergraduate and graduate social work programs are fully accredited by the Council of Social Work Education, a must for earning licensure.
