Towson University

Founded in 1866, Towson University is recognized among the nation’s best regional public universities, offering more than 100 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in the liberal arts and sciences, and applied professional fields.

At the USM Hagerstown Center, TU offers its basic/pre-licensure nursing major for students who do not have a previous nursing degree or who have a bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than nursing.

The Towson University B.S in nursing program is approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education ( TU is the second largest producer of bedside nurses in Maryland. The Department of Nursing holds memberships in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and the Council of Baccalaureate and Higher Degree Programs of the National League for Nursing (NLN).
