Social Work (M.S.W.)

The Salisbury University Master of Social Work Program (M.S.W.) prepares professional social workers to engage in community-based direct practice with individuals, families, and groups. The mission of our program is to educate ethical, competent practitioners who can work with a high degree of autonomy and skill.

The Social Work faculty is dedicated to excellence in teaching and maintaining a strong focus on student learning. For several years Salisbury University has placed in the U.S. News and World Report’s top 10 public regional universities in the North.

Graduates will be prepared to work in a variety of settings as practitioners, consultants, supervisors, and administrators and will possess the skills necessary for lifelong learning and adaptation to new practice contexts. The regular M.S.W. Program is 61 credit hours. There are 48 credits of classroom work and 13 credits of supervised field practicum.
