For over 100 years, the University of Baltimore (UBalt) has been at the
forefront of career-focused education, providing Baltimore and beyond with leaders who make a
lasting impact on their communities. Now, through an exciting new collaboration with the
University System of Maryland Hagerstown (USMH), the University of Baltimore’s Merrick
School of Business is bringing its prestigious MBA program to Western Maryland.

As USMH celebrates its 20th anniversary of providing accessible, affordable education in
downtown Hagerstown, this new partnership with UBalt marks another milestone in its ongoing
commitment to meeting the workforce needs of the region. Starting in Fall 2025, students in
Hagerstown and the surrounding areas will have the opportunity to earn an MBA degree locally.

“Hagerstown’s strategic location positions it as a hub for future business growth, driving demand
for top-tier managerial training - precisely what our AACSB-accredited program delivers,” said
Mikhail Pevzner, Professor and Graduate Programs Director with The University of Baltimore.

“We’re constantly evolving our curriculum to stay ahead of business trends, including AI, data
analytics and soft skills. Through our partnership with UBalt’s College of Public Administration
we offer specialized training in healthcare and government management, catering to diverse
paths and ensuring students graduate with a competitive edge,” Pevzner added.
