Maryland community college students with an associate’s degree in Nursing must apply to both the Undergraduate Admissions Office and the Department of Nursing at Towson University. The total number of credits that must be completed at Towson is 30. This may vary depending on the number of credits transferred from the community college.
To ensure successful progress through the nursing major, students will need to complete Organic Chemistry, Nutrition and Microbiology. If these courses were not part of the associate’s degree, they must be completed prior to acceptance into the nursing major, which could add additional credits to the program. A Statistics course is needed prior to enrolling in NURS 431.
