USMH held its eigth graduation celebration on Tuesday, May 20 at 6pm.  Under a large tent in the University Plaza, students celebrated their successes with their family, friends, and university faculty. The evening program included wise words from vice-chancellor, Dr. Joann Boughman. She advised the students, "If you can dream it, you can plan it; if you can plan it, you can do it!"  The guests also were treated to remarks from students Megan Roberts, an education major at Frostburg State University at USMH, and Andrew Griffith, graduate of the criminal justice program at University System of Maryland University College.

This celebration recognized 160 students who recieved degrees from 17 programs offered at USMH. These students included the first seven graduates of the doctorate of education program that began in September 2010, offered by the University of Maryland.
